To improve my English language I have to read books as I can , I just need academic language for that my teacher Suggested me to read “Academic Vocabulary in Use” by (Michael McCarthy ). Academic Vocabulary in Use is the wonderful study aid for anyone using English second language for their academic , it covers all the key vocabulary they will come across in academic. On the other hand my communication skills by speaking and listening was improved effectively in an academic skills . and i agree with my teacher about my writing , as he say I need to read books ,news papers or some business article . as he say I was start read some article in business like how to be good manger “ The Rules Of Management “ by (Richard Templar ) and other books , from time to time also I read business article in news papers .

Understanding plagiarism and referencing

Referencing is a system that allows you to acknowledge the sources of information you use in your writing. If you do not reference your sources you are plagiarising.The question is When do I need Reference? You must provide a reference whenever you quote, paraphrase or summarise someone else’s ideas, theories or data. You must also reference any graphic information you use. Some of the sources you will need to reference :
- In some books or chapters in books , conference papers
- Also in journal or newspaper articles, web pages and online databases
- Although films or television programs , personal communications, interviews or letters


Ø The Harvard System requires two parts: you should have both in-text references and a list of references at the end of your work.

- Within the Text—In-text Citations
- At the End of the Text—List of References

· In the first you should to include three pieces of information about a source within the text of your work.

1. the name of the author or authors
2. the year of publication
3. the page number


· in the second you must include a List of References as a list of all the books you used, journal articles and other sources of information you have used to your research .

Attend a live lecture / talk or seminar in London

I believe that London need support in Heathrow airport ,they don’t need to the thread runway to Heathrow ,they need to open all the line and the serves in the airport . as we asked the people how was used Heathrow for travel they say we spend more than 1 hours to be outside the airport why! The said most of the line inside the airport was close its out of serves , from 3 and not more than 6 persons stay in costumers serves desk , the other 6 line was close .
And The plan to expand Heathrow Airport caused a lively debate hosted , Although 2800 of residents have pledged to resist plans to extend Heathrow airport.
The spice for the airport are nerly to 2.5Km for third runway built north of Heathrow by 2020, with a 6 terminal, which will require the destruction of an entire village.

Reflective writing on the pre-sessional course and university study

This course was really useful for my degree. I enjoy this month even I have a lot of pressures. We have to write the whole essay by 3 weeks. It’s not enough. Actually it was really hard for me, because I never write an essay before either Dubai or English. So this is my first time to write. I think the most difficult part for me is writing essay. I don’t know how to start an essay and how to manage different part together. So after the lesson I check a lot of essay on the internet and learn how to structure the essay. It was really useful to get the ideas about the structure from other essay. Of course we can’t copy everything but just for the structure. Then I know something about plagiarism and reference. After this I know I can’t copy things from internet and also from books but I can use the idea or change few words to make it become my own things. So I get a lot of skills to prepare my essay.About teaching style, a lot of different between Dubai and England but still few points. Firstly in Dubai people think that academic knowledge was really important of a student, but in England people think general knowledge was more important. So I prefer the education in England that’s why I did my Master here.This month I really try to study hard and do a lot of research therefore I feel really tired. But the thing is I have to start the new student attend meeting by this week. Therefore I have no break between this course and my degree course. finally thank you Simon for teaching me and Steve’s also ,and I hope to use all what I learned in 3 month at English language centre in London met university .
